Hagar was alone in the wilderness. Cast out, pregnant, afraid. She had no plan, no provision, and no protector. By every human measure, she was forgotten.

But God met her there. Genesis 16:13 tells us she gave God a name that no one else in Scripture ever did: El Roi — "the God who sees me."

There is something profoundly comforting about being seen. Not just glanced at, but truly seen — your pain, your fears, your silent prayers, your hidden tears. God sees all of it.

You may feel invisible at work. Overlooked at church. Forgotten by friends. But you are fully visible to the Creator of the universe. He has not lost sight of you. He is not distracted by someone else's story. Your chapter matters to Him.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for being El Roi — the God who sees me. When I feel invisible, remind me that I am always in Your sight. Help me trust that You are working even when I cannot see it. Amen.
